Around 15 Choir members went to Inverness on Saturday 29 August, to be part of the Foray into Fauré concert in Inverness Catherdral.

Over 180 singers and an orchestra of 30 came together uner the baton of James Ross for a day of rehearsal and an evening concert, to raise funds for the Highland Hospice.The Skye Chorus members were able, of course, to lead confidently - 1/3 of the tenors were from Skye! - while others were effectively sight-reading the Requiem. We also sang the Pavane and Cantique for Jean Racine, which for the Skye folk was new and delvired with a bit of a wing and a prayer. It was good to be part of such a large event and realise that there are many, many folk around the Highland who enjoy choral singing.
